Scope of Work

Our Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) service evaluates the safety and functionality of portable electrical equipment to minimize risks of electric shock, fire, and equipment failure. The scope includes:

• Visual inspection of portable appliances for damage or wear

• Testing of insulation resistance, earth continuity, and polarity

• Measurement of leakage current and functional performance checks

• Tagging and labeling of tested appliances with pass/fail status

• Review of asset inventory and compliance records

• Compliance verification with IS 302, IS 9000, IEC 60335, and workplace safety norms

• Recommendations for repair, replacement, or preventive measures

Deliverables

• PAT testing report with executive summary

• Test records with pass/fail results for each appliance

• Compliance checklist with applicable safety standards

• Photographic evidence of unsafe appliances (if any)

• Recommendations for corrective and preventive measures

• Certification of tested appliances for statutory compliance

Duration

• Testing Execution: 1–3 days (depending on number of appliances)

• Report Submission: Within 5 working days of testing completion
