Elion Technologies & Consulting Pvt. Ltd. conducts in-house electrical testing and diagnostics using NABL-calibrated instruments, ensuring traceable, defensible, and technically validated audit outcomes.

All testing is performed by Elion’s engineering team without subcontracting.

NABL-Calibrated Instrumentation & Traceability

All instruments used during Electrical Safety & Technical Compliance Audits are calibrated annually through NABL-accredited laboratories.

Audit reports include:

  • Calibration certificate copy
  • Last calibration date
  • Validity / expiry date
  • Traceability reference

This ensures measurement credibility and regulatory defensibility.

Elion conducts structured technical testing for both LT and HT installations.

Testing capabilities include:

  • Primary injection testing
  • Secondary injection relay testing
  • Breaker timing verification
  • Relay functional validation
  • IR thermographic scanning of panels and switchyards
  • Acoustic imaging for partial discharge detection in switchgear
  • Protection coordination validation

HT systems up to 132 kV and above are evaluated using engineering-grade instruments and ETAP-based analytical modeling where required.

Relay Testing & Protection Validation

Protection reliability is validated using Omicron relay testing kits.

Testing includes:

  • Time-current curve validation
  • Relay pickup and trip verification
  • Clearing time analysis
  • Selectivity validation
  • Curve coordination cross-check

Relay curves are verified against ETAP-based fault modeling and system load characteristics to ensure coordination integrity.

Arc Flash Engineering Validation (IEEE 1584 & NFPA 70E)

Arc flash exposure assessment includes:

  • Short circuit current modeling
  • Incident energy calculation
  • Working distance determination
  • Arc flash boundary calculation
  • Restricted and Limited Approach Boundaries identification
  • PPE category recommendation
  • Arc flash label generation

Labels are provided as part of audit deliverables.

Relay Testing & Protection Validation

  • 3-point and 4-point earth resistance testing (based on site conditions)
  • Earth continuity testing
  • Separate lightning arrestor earth measurement
  • Ground grid integrity evaluation

Testing ensures compliance with IS 3043 and applicable grounding requirements.

Thermal diagnostics are conducted using FLIR, Testo, and Fluke thermal imaging systems.

  • Panel hotspot detection
  • Busbar overheating identification

  • Transformer thermal anomaly detection
  • Switchyard joint inspection

Thermal image annexures are included in final audit reports.
